perfection is seen reflected
in the blade of my sword
greens and golds
melt on the blade
with a thin edge of blue
snow swirling,
resting, melting,
white glimmers,
now red as it reflects
early blooms of quince
blood rust, sun gold
seasons change
shades of grey
glints of starlight and full moon
in the blackness after midnight
an ever changing picture
less than two inches wide

Great imagery.
Love the closing lines as well.

A lovely expansion of your answer to me. This is perfect. It is what so called “Imageism” should have been and clearly can be.
Lovely Sakura often writes quick answers which sound like poetry. I had merely to take notice of it. (You’re welcome : )

And I do indeed thank you. This would have passed my notice had you not enhanced it. So truly, thank you
!

If I ever write any Bleach fan-fiction… who knows, I may base a Byakuya Kuchiki story around this. If I do so–which is highly unlikely, though possible–provided you have no objection, I will credit you of course.

I think it would be wonderful and that you would certainly do a beautiful job!

Thank you. As to how good a job I might do… well… it would be my first attempt at such an endeavour. Although anyone who knows me from my blog might be surprised as to how much and how very different things I have written, although at present, I have chosen only to publish sonnets and their introductions along with a few other sundries.
If I do attempt it, I will alert you; and I will make it available to you even if I choose not to publish it.

Oh… And… As per something of which I made mention several weeks ago, I have utterly and completely opened my comment section.
I shall now fasten my seatbelt, extinguish my cigarette, keep my hands out of the isle, and keep my seat in the upright position. In the event of a D.O.S. crash my laptop may be used as a flotation device…..
