The Samurai and the Lady

And into this bitter cold and hostile storms, let us have some warmth and romance. One of my favorite poetry postings.

kanzen sakura

He parted the silk
and traced her skin with clusters of
pink sakura.  His lips
Followed their trail.  He
pulled flowers from the clusters,
scattering on her skin.
Teasingly he blew
them away.  Here, now there, and
And there.  He smiled and
Pulled her to him.  Soft
as petals against him, he
touched her in wonder.

Well, it was hall and oates, one on one a couple of weeks ago….wrapped in my grandmother’s quilt and waiting for stars to fall like snow…so pretty quiet. Going out now, to breathe in frozen air and dream in the darkness. Come join me! homemade quilts and hot chocolate are ready.

Sounds good to me. I wrote a series of one of our afternoons where he became bored and i put him in the tub and used my fathers straight razor to give him shave … odd because it was one of those people liked. I didn,t expect them too. Many of my poems are about us. Maybe i should bundle one day into a book. I just don’t think many people would like. But i liked writing them. I’m rather solemn with those poems. I’m glad you liked this one. It is truly one of my favorites.

Unfortunately, he is not the husband. Our love story had a sad ending.

The. Love, the samurai went back to japan. We had 10years together. My husband and i met 15 years ago. He is a sweet southern boy and i dearly love him. But you know, that first huge love never ends. He never married. The whole tale, or parts of the tale, are chronicled in The Samurai and the Wren stories. My husband knows there is the past but he also knows how much i love him. He doesnt ask and i don’t tell. He says i sometimes speak japanese in my sleep. It happens.
