cold sparrows watch as
snow falls. no sound as we press
warm cheek to warm cheek.

      I’m glad. It could be a kitty, or dog, or horse. Lucky came to visit in the snow a couple of weeks ago. Iwrapped up good and put an old quilt on him. While I was settling it, he turned to look at me. I put my hand on his head and rested my face against his.
