Praying for the words of your haiku to come to reality in these parts as what looks like rain clouds are moving over head. We desperately need to rain. Have a good weekend, my friend. ❤

I hear the drought situation is horrible – beyond horrible. I wonder if the authorities will cut down on the 1% and their pools, water features, fancy car washing….it will be something to see. I fear for food production and how that will affect the farmers and those of us who buy the food. I certainly will pray for rain. And not mudslide rain, but nurturing rain. It seems to be part of a weather pattern. I can’t remember if it is los ninos or la nina….last year was a very dry summer for us and a very wet winter. I am thankful our water table is renewed from the drought of year before last.

Thank you! it was a very lovely soft afternoon and the smell of the rain was beautiful. did you know the Japanese have 50 words for rain? Really. and shun u means gentle spring rain.
Apr 25, 2014 @ 21:29:27
No, I didn’t know that! How lovely! I like shun u, it is such a soft word! 🙂

soft word for soft rain 🙂 and it specifically means a soft rain in the spring, not in fall, winter, summer. The Japanese have specific words for seasons and events, animals, the sky, etc. in those seasons. Maybe I’ll do a post on it sometime. I am still trying to draw a dragon for you. I think SamCat could do a better job!

You should definitely do a post on that! 🙂 And I am so excited about that dragon! It does not have to be perfect! Just draw like you did when you were a child! 🙂 Freely!
I like SamCat! Say hi to him from me 🙂

Thank you so much for nominating me! I really appreciate it. I stopped accepting awards a few months ago. But again, I do thank you for the nomination and for following my blog as well. I’ve been enjoying your posts very much. If this means you were also nominated for the Sunshine award and are passing it on, congratulations to you! 🙂

Thanks so much! I will someday soon stop accepting awards myself, so I understand 🙂

I decided to keep one award though and post it. The Inner Peace Award. it was given to me by Clowie over at Clowie’s Corner. She is a great Prenees (I know I spelled it wrong) dog whose bipeds actually live in spain. She writes about her adventures, animal welfare (such as the horrible civet cat poop coffee that is so stylish now), puppy socialization, etc. She is one of my best friend bloggers. She gave me the Inner Peace award because she said she felt peaceful when she visited my blog. It made a great impact on me. It is how I want people to feel – peaceful, happy, informed, welcomed…..so I keep that one and keep it posted to me as a reminder of why I blog – because I love it and it gives this frustrated writer an outlet. I stopped accepting because of some ugliness from some people to whom I gave awards. I just didn’t want to bring that out of people and so…..we all have our reasons. You can read my post about awards, accept or not? Again, I do thank you.

Cat poop coffee?? ummmm I don’t think I want to try that And that’s a beautiful reason why you don’t accept awards and have kept that one particular award, very beautiful. I love what you do for animals, and the depth behind your posts. You’re a good person, and it’s a privilege to know you in the blogging world.

Here Is the link to my post which has a link in it about the exotic coffee. I try to do my best for the animals and follow several blogs whose bloggers are truly committed to animal welfare. I do appreciate your very kind comments. We all need to care more about each other and about those who cannot help themselves.
