Friday Fun and Saturday Smiles: Have a nice day!

A fun video today from my favorite Japanese robotic group, World Order.  I’ve posted vids from them before but they are usually serious.  This one is just for fun and giggles:  the guys out on the town, listening to CDs, eating street junk food, going to an ice cream parlor and flirting with the servers, cruising the mall, pie at an automated Japanese restaurant, getting light sticks in anticipation of going to a “sophisticated” girl show….lots of energy in the video and music.

So, have fun doing whatever you are planning on for the weekend and –  良い一日をYoi ichi-nichi o – have a nice day, nice day!!!

A few of the lyrics, translated for you:

HAVE A NICE DAY
Sunday morning flashed bright
Let’s go back to town today
Favorite jacket
Everyone’s waiting at the intersection

Today, HAVE A NICE DAY
Passing through this Love Pattern
Seems to disappear when I put it into words
My feelings are like bittersweet chocolate

So! Like a cloud passing overhead
I already know your answer
Passing sky told me “Shall we meet again?”
My love doesn’t reach anyway

良い一日をYoi ichi-nichi o

The guys are fun. I love the symmetry and precision of movements. It’s hypnotizing. 😛

Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed. those serious faces and yet that zippy tune and fun playing. you can find more of their videos on youtube. This one and a complete opposite, Last Dance, are their newest. Last Dance is shot in and around Fukushima and gives a warning to us about our uses of power and the alternatives available such as solar. But it is touching, especially the solemn part of dancing on the beach at the Fukushima Power Plant and a sequence with Fuji in the background, showing the beginning of the infamous “suicide forest” at its base. Sorry to get all serious here.when I posted this especially for fun. But they are talented and thoughtful and some of their music really is just fun or inspiring. I have several of their vids on my blog with some commentary. Again thank you nd sorry for the long reply! HAVE A
      NICE DAY 🙂 !!!!!!!!!

THAT was so much fun. I enjoyed watching the whole 4:34 minutes of it while trying to decompress coming home. That was awesome and you have a nice day as well. Thank you.

That sounds like a lot of fun. One of the fun things to watch during this group’s videos are how people on the street react to them.

Indeed. 😀 However, I would like to know if they are extras or if it’s genuine.

I think by the expressions and reactions, they are genuine. I’ve seen people look truly startled to try to get out of the way. Like New Yorkers, many Japanese like to keep a certain sophisticated “I don’t see this” attitude and a few will react or imitate. Kids are especially fun to watch. They of course set up the vid cameras and record and such, but for the most part, the Japanese are so used to the use of cameras and video equipment, they either don’t care, pay no attention or ham it up.
