Duke Blue Devils – #1 OOOOOORRRRRAHHHHHH

I will have been blogging for four years in June. I have never made a secret that I am a true blue Duke Blue Devils Cameron Crazy. I went to my first Duke basketball game when I was three months old. I was too short to reach the ticket cage and my diaper didn’t have space for my wallet. My parents obligingly bought my ticket and let me sit with them. They said all during the game, I didn’t make a sound – eyes wide open the whole time – at home in the revered Cameron Indoor Stadium and comforted by the noise of the fans.

Don’t get me wrong: Wisconsin played a great game – fantastic players and primo coach. It was a fast, furious, clean, hard game. College basketball perfection and….MY TEAM WON!!!! NATIONAL NCAA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONS!!!

Most of the plays and points made by the smaller guys – yeah, take that behemoths, yeah. On this team, what is scary is: five of the eight players are freshmen….against older, stronger, bigger players, they won. And the moral is? Give it your all. Give it your best. Be fearless. Don’t lose hope – In life, love, and basketball.
Now I have to go into the bedroom and pull the covers off my husband and jump up and down on the bed – We’re #1!!! We’re #1!!!!!

And already, I have ordered the championship tee shirts for my mom and me. In three days they will arrive. Haha. Watch out UVA, VCU, VA Tech, Richmond Spiders – you got a Cameron Crazy in town.

Congrats Kanzen!!! I don’t really follow basketball but I watched that game. Wow!! You are so correct! I was most impressed by #3…and it’s funny…I was calling him the “little guy”….he is probably well over 6ft! They have a dynasty with such a young team all together for 3 more years! Great post…great game….awesome message!! ♡

Yes – little guy at 6’4″….Thank you. The two “little guy” freshmen showed the world you don’t have to be big and powerful – just committed and fearless. I’ve learned a lot watching the team this year with their attitudes.

It’s so much fun to watch when your team wins. My excitement ended when UCLA pooped out but hey I had a lot of fun watching them do better than expected. 😉

Good for you! I remember when UCLA dominated the NCAA. It seemed they would never lose a game! I was cheering for all the NC teams, even Duke’s rival, UNC. I was proud of my guys. And Your sweet Lady Luck can definitely tell a tale about never giving up and never losing hope.

You’ve been so busy! They began end of Feb. The boys have been busy as well and have put me on hold until May. Yoshi working to finish up getting his JD and the others with tax season at their accounting firm. When they get back to me about the kasana, I’ll let you know. I’ve been in a deep down cycle but coming back up.

I am going to drive to visit mama in Cookeville in a couple of weeks.

I hope you had a blessed Easter and that you were fed well at the Korean church and had lots to bring home with you. I remember you daily in my prayers. Love and hugs.
