the super moon brought
fall to our part of the South –
bright days frosty nights
bright days frosty nights
full moon lights the nights with white
light and gray shadows
light and gray shadows –
the moon shines bright as day – gray
instead of silver
instead of silver –
pewter light turns the world
to black and white –
daguerreotype

I love how you go from colors into sepia here… sometimes it’s an aspect of moon that we forgot… a daguerreotype… what a perfect image.

I’m with Bjorn. I love the different shades of grey. (perhaps a better 50 shades of gray? LOL) Caught the moon early last night, though it wasn’t full, it was orange at the horizon. I love how each stanza streams into the next.

I love this, especially ‘bright days frosty nights – full moon lights the nights with white – light and gray shadows’

I admire the inter-connected verses specially the last one ~ I took some shots of the supermoon the last few nights as it was a gorgeous sight ~ Lovely share Toni ~

Beautiful, Toni…love how the moon’s colors change perhaps with her waning and waxing.

I find it fascinating how the moon does change color all in one night!

If no one wrote about the moon did it actually rise in pale colors to our eyes? I really like the transitions you created here.

I was not lucky enough to view the super moon as the skies were overcast here. So I thank you for providing me with wonderful poetic imagery of the event.
Kind regards

There is the easy flow along the way all connected. Yes the moon may turn out to drab and gray!

The language of colour is never more eloquent than in our material world.
