Walking Crow

Walking Crow
crow walks down the middle of the road –
looks neither right nor left.
flaps his wings
and keeps on truckin’ –
he turns into our drive
as if he had business with us.
I open the door and call out to him.
he looks at me and then flies away.
guess he had the wrong address.

The haikai challenge today is crow.  I love crows.  Seems to be the theme for the day.

This made me laugh. I’m sure there is a cosmic significance there somewhere. ;_) Glad you could play today, and thanks.

    “he turns into our drive
as if he had business with us.” – I really like that image!

Crows are like that. I love their arrogance, their seeming superiority.
Maybe he did have the wrong address…

Love the way crows behave… actually they are a bit like cats (including the fact that they don’t go well with cats)

Thank you for a good giggle. I could almost see the expression of the crow. And the speaker’s raised eyebrow, when the bird flies away… 🙂
