The Secret Life of Cats

The Secret Life of Cats
I once had a tabby and white cat,
Miss Boot –
I’d come home from work and find my
dressing table looking pilfered.
A puzzle.
One day I came home early.
in the middle of the table
sat Miss Boot, my pearls around her neck
and blush on her cheeks.
Well, that mystery was solved.

Ha! I bet she looked divine. ;_) Cats are enormously mysterious beings, I think. (I am more a dog person myself, but have shared house space with several of them…and there is nothing like that purr thing they do.) Here Miss Boot shows her smarts by knowing the safe time to play dress up, and I’m sure was both chagrined and embarrassed by your unscheduled arrival. Thanks for playing Toni, and may what’s left of this weekend be kickass for you.

Thank you. I love both – cats and dogs, both unique creatures. I once picked up a stray dog at the dump and brought him home. The cats loved him and he them. They all slept piled in a ball on….his bed! Miss Boot was the matriarch of the house and would correct me as she did one of her kittens. Very prissy she was. I still think the cats (when I had them) would use my computer, watch TV and of course, make free use of my stuff.

I”m sure she was lovely. 🙂
Our daughters used to imagine that our cats at the time had “Residence Parties” when we were out of the house. Michael the Cat would wear a chef’s hat and cook pancakes.

So very fun! I love the surprises our sweet pets bring into our daily lives…and they often involve a bit of clean-up, heh?

How i understand! My cats learned how to turn off tvs and lights. In the night, i can hear one of them playing with the keboard, trying to understand why i pass so much time doing it!

    Cat’s are really something else
