For the last day of Nanoitsoveratlast! Bjorn is giving us the prompt over at Real Toads. He is asking us to turn nouns into verbs. Yippee! Something light and fun for this last day.
Blued
She is blued
with all the colors of the sky
And greened with the colors
of her ocean….
Seashelled and seaweeded
she dips and leaps with joy.
Her hair is bronzed and tangled
She is humaned and fished –
She is mermaided.
Blued

I’ve always loved the mermaids.
Thanks for a great month, Toni.

Ha… love the mermaiding … may we all be given splashes of color like that.
Apr 30, 2018 @ 15:55:15
Or…mermade?
Gosh, we made it! Us two scoffers actually did this thing. Whee.

Yeppers that we did. First time ever. But I must say, I had a lot of fun twisting the name to my own ends.

‘She is blued’ and ‘greened’ bring Joni to mind, and I love anything with mermaids, especially ‘Seashelled and seaweeded’ and ‘She is humaned and fished’!

Oh, what a delight! And what fun it has been to have you join in every day – kicking and screaming, whilst producing terrific poetry and (I think) discovering NaPo is not just formulaic rubbish. (That being said, I think the toads do superior prompts and I never bother with the various other April options any more.)

That’s the way I felt as well Rosemary. Knowing the caliber of the contributors helped me along the way. So different from “eating a taco”. I loved your contributions as well. I am (almost kinda maybe) sad at the ending of Nanomicrochip.

I love the light-hearted feel of this piece – and I’ve enjoyed how you’ve word-played, slayed the NaPoWriPo all month – that alone was enough to set a new tone for each day …. had me cracking up. Which is a great way to keep the “pieces of a mind falling apart for the madness” …. so cheers! And see ya at the Garden.

Thank you Pat. The different names kept me sane.

LOL – yeah, I can understand that …. everyone needed a life preserver to get through ….
May 04, 2018 @ 15:43:29
amd some of us still do need that life preserver.
May 07, 2018 @ 18:53:34
true …

You certainly excelled here… I’d have to copy and paste the entire poem to quote a favorite line…

Thank you Margaret!

Well played madame, both today and throughout the month. Wouldn’t have been the same without you.
