Rags to Riches
“The smallest feline is a masterpiece.” – Leonardo de Vinci

he was born in an empty cooler
in a crammed garage,
the only one of his siblings who survived.
his weak mewls attracted the attention
of a human who lifted him from his nest.
she bottle fed him until he was old enough
to eat from a saucer.
they adored each other
the cat and the human.
from poverty to riches,
from loneliness to friendship.
Sir Kitty Rufflekins –
first of his name.

And a fine feline fellow he is! I am never sure at all who saves who in these situations; I expect we save each other, the creatures and us.

On of our dogs was born in a junkyard with 9 siblings. Love the name!
