An American sentence is an art all of its own. You create a delicate balance here between light and dark, which encapsulates the essence of the art. Thank you for participating.

Thank you Kerry. I am working on the American Sentence. It is a challenge that I love. Thank you for the interesting prompt and picture! All I could see in it were the flowers.

I love both quote and American sentence, Toni, especially the phrase ‘bat winged dawn’.

I love the similarities in mood between the quote and your poem. The contracts that leaves the feels dancing between gloom, horror, and beauty… severed and together, at the same time.

I searched for a long time for that quote. Then I snapped my fingers…Dracula I squealed. And there it was. Sometimes I find the quote for my poem right off and sometimes, I search for awhile and still on’t quite find it.

The American Sentence brief as it is but not easy to create. Good shot Toni!
