Families Only

An American Sentence for Carrie’s Sunday Muse BlogSpot. An American Sentence is exactly 17 syllables and is a complete sentence. It is different from a haiku in that there are no season references and is written in sentence form.

Families Only
“Who will feed the orphans when all the parents have gone?” ― Anthony T. Hincks Families

Families only are allowed; I am an orphan and cannot go.

You captured the sad feel beautifully Toni. A wonderful and poignant American Sentence that brings one to tears.

Goodness, this is so sad. All the brightness in the image makes the speaker’s pain more palpable.

Beautiful picture! I’m glad that you could use my quote to go along with it.
