The Helmet

For Carrie’s Sunday Muse BlogSpot.

The Helmet
“The mark of your ignorance is the depth of your belief in injustice and tragedy. What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls the butterfly.” – Richard Bach

inside the helmet the human has turned to sticks.
radiation has obliterated human life.
only the butterflies remain
trying to see inside.
what a wonderful world with butterflies
instead of humans.

Yes, the butterfly seems much more human in this shot!

Inside the human is gone and outside the traces of humanity have disappeared as well. Leaving the butterfly to carry on, the burden now light upon his wings.

I like the edge in your message here Toni. What wonderful realities, were it only flutter-bees.

Thank you Rob. The pic actually brought to mind, oddly enough, the quote from Anthony Bourdain about fuzzy animals
