Ah, I love the leaves searching for their tree. I hope they know they protect butterflies in winter……..
Nov 27, 2019 @ 22:17:12
How cool is that! Leaves searching for instead of leaving . . .
Nov 27, 2019 @ 23:36:33
A wonderful American Sentence! Enjoyed the scene.
Nov 28, 2019 @ 05:34:40
The “deepening” of the season is what brings longing in the wind. Perfect image of it in the leaves searching for the tree they once thrived upon.
Nov 28, 2019 @ 16:20:40
Oh I do love the leaves searching for the tree… in the end they will the tree through the roots in decay.
Nov 28, 2019 @ 16:48:56
Yes they will! We don’t take the leaves from our yard but let them settle and decay. My neighbor finally learned to not take their yard until almost Christmas when all the leaves have fallen. She was working herself to death raking every week.

Nov 28, 2019 @ 21:43:05
A creative, poetic method of exploring and describing longing, as once undone from the tree, the leaf can never return to the branch.
Nov 28, 2019 @ 22:07:54
Leaves are the ultimate disconnect! I like that.
Nov 28, 2019 @ 22:20:02
Ah, so that’s what they are doing. One of life’s mystery’s revealed 🙂

I wondered why the leaves swirled in the wind and you’ve given me a mythical reason why they do, which is appreciated (e.g. thunder is giants bowling in the clouds.)
Nov 28, 2019 @ 23:37:38
Of course that is what thunder is! Or either the giants are playing les boules
