Your American Sentence is heartfelt, the sorrow and loss are real. May poetry strengthen you during this time.

Pouring our grief into poetry, and reading poetry, are wonderful tonics and help us express out emotions without having to speak to anyone. We can cry openly and let tears fall on paper. I love the use of colour in this American sentence, Toni.

This is so very filled with sorrow… all the colors will be a reminder, but stick to the palette and turn your back to the grey.

What a beautiful one-line poem! (One syllable too long for an American Sentence – yet I can’t find one you could drop.)
Jan 13, 2020 @ 04:03:44
Ah. Thank you for catching that syllable for me. Sometimes my fingers don’t work when I am counting.
