For Susie’s prompt at Real Toads, day 18 of NAPOWRIMO: Bells and flowers
Bells
The bee collects honey from flowers in such a way as to do the least damage or destruction to them, and he leaves them whole, undamaged and fresh, just as he found them. Saint Francis de Sales
Flower bells silently ring in the
soft spring breeze.
Bees busily climb in and out
emerging yellow with pollen.
Lily of the vally,
Campanula in shades of
Sky, rose, cloud –
Late blooming narcissus with
their tiny tea cup blooms
and honey sweet fragrance.
Across the yard floats
The sound of cardinals,
their bell-like tones
filling the air with music –
calling the creatures to come,
Worship spring.

For Sunday Muse #46 http://thesundaymuse.blogspot.com/2019/03/the-muse-46.html
Flower Truck
“The Earth laughs in flowers.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
I have a truck full of laughter.
I’m gonna plant it everywhere in my yard.
My neighbors think I am crazy but I don’t care.
I am gonna plant a flower everywhere I had an animal die
and I buried.
I think that will be fitting.
They gave me so much love and laughter in my life,
I can let them know how much I love them still.
Yeppers.
I’m gonna plant the whole damn truck full
and go and get some more.

First Day of Spring
Tiny blue flowers,
Miniature sky above
Green grass. Cloudless day.
Second Day of Spring
White clouds of snow,
Covers grass. Grass waits for blue sky
To return again.
