The rain was tapping, the leaves were swaying. I stood and watched them being happy. Thank you.

You make the rain sound and feel pleasant even though I am not a fan. I am already bracing for the coming days when we will get rain.

Ah, I love the way you describe how the clover might enjoy a rainy day! It resonates with me. Love the name “Puddle Lake.”

They were all massed together, nodding and swaying together – having such a wonderful time. it was a joy to stand and get wet and watch them. The big ones and little ones – all together. They did look like they were on holiday.

The funny thing, Kanzen, is I was never into poetry, but I like yours because it has a certain softness, an unhurried quality, that strikes me every time. That’s what makes your poetry so good. ❤ ❤ ❤

Tanks are cool; should call for them on MTB at dVerse one day; more substantive than just the bare bones haiku, & yet not overly verbose. Yours felt & looked terrific; made me hungry for Asian food.

Haiku are often considered “unfinished” even though they are. Classic haiku and tanka are my favorite forms of poetic expression. I disabled the spell check on my tablet because we often disagreed 🙂 . It may be fun sometime to do a renga to see all the different “endings” we come up with. I will sometimes embed a classic haiku or tanka in a poem. Maybe next MTB we can have a ramen bar to munch on.

Tanks are cool, but tankas are cooler; (spell-check changed it without my notice).

Thank you. It kept tapping but the leaf kept ignoring it. So when the rain asked me, I danced!

There is such movement in your tanka.. The dance of course but the clover at puddle lake.. That’s really something.

No….mama and daddy froggies do their thing and not picky about who looks. I imagine all the clover with thei tiny grills and beach balls had a time distracting the clover kids.

It was tempting but the clover families were having such fun, I didn’t want to tsunami them. I wished to be 4 inches high and join them.
