The first plum blossom:
Sweet star shines under blue sky
Birds make their wishes
April 1st is the first day of NaPoWriMo where the challenge is to write 30 poems in 30 days. I’ve not done this before and I hope I can keep it up! There are many bloggers participating in this. Some are members of the dVerse Poets Pub, of which I am a community member. I look forward to reading lots of new poetry! http://www.napowrimo.net/

Thank you! I’m a drive-by writer and don’t do it every day so this will be a real test for me!

I completely understand that mentality, but you’ll probably finish the challenge and love it. For me the problem is that I end challenge months feeling lazy and doing less than before!

And I can understand that as well!

I am not surprised you chose blossoms and the haiku form for this time of the season. Very evocative poem!
Kanzen, the prompt at Poets United this week is ‘Cherry Blossoms’. I thought you might like to link there.

Thank you! I read a poem, was it yours? I have read so many poems the past week (smile!). I am doing a theme of cherry blossoms this week on my blog and am getting ready to write the post. It is on hanami – the custom of viewing them and the parties and picnics. I am post a couple of “picnic” recipes on this post as well. It will not be a poem. I do all kinds of stuff on my blog. But I am going to enjoy linking to Poets United. After all, my blog lets folks know I am the “perfect cherry blossom”….LOL Again, thank you for thinking of me.

I’ve been part of dVerse Poets Pub where I have produced under pressure….You were sickly about the time I started that. We’ll see how I do with this. Usually, I lose interest, sad to say in things that must be done daily – it is too much like work! 😊

I know what you mean. It can be hard to keep up the momentum.
I will have to catch up with all of your poetry that I missed. I’m curious to see what you were up to while I was gone.

🙂 Well I hope you enjoy the challenge and the experimentation. It can be fun to try new things, stretch those wings and fly unfamiliar skies.

It is always good to stretch the boundaries of one’s art. We’ll see!
