midnight: snow flowers
spiral down and quickly die
on my outstretched hand.

Oh yes!. I see the open hand, palm up and already dropping as well. 😀 I feel disappointment.

Such a powerful imagery and metaphor for helping.

Lovely, such beauty even in its sadness.

Another snowflake landing via the wonderful M-R to wish you happy birthday. The haiku works really well for me. This is a haiku blog I follow http://ashiakira.wordpress.com/2014/11/12/outside-the-window-2/

Thank you for dropping by and your well wishes. I follow the same blog as well and enjoy it. I have a second blog, Aki no Koe (voice of autumn, poetry for the seasons), it is not just haiku but also general poetry and some tanka. I think he does a great job. It is always so nice to find someone who follows the same blog as one and enjoys it so much. I hope you will visit me often and always feel welcome. kanzensakura is a general blog and mainly, just a lot of fun and trying to spread light to others. I am glad you like this latest haiku. it is one of the few I have been pleased with.
